When a Google Ads script is enough and when you need the API from a server of your own (long processes, non-Google IPs, databases, many accounts at scale, logic that must not be exposed), the thin-client architecture (the script collects and paints; the engine on the server calculates and calls the AI), its advantages (keys out of circulation, updates without touching the account, parity proven by tests) and its risks.
