📗 This content is the Smart Bidding Ninja Script user manual, the same one the script writes in the «Manual» tab of its spreadsheet. Here you can search it, listen to it, highlight it and save it to favourites.
The script sends two kinds of automatic summary report to the email address set in the Config tab: the WEEKLY one (Monday) and the MONTHLY one (the 1st). If the email field is empty, nothing is sent. These summaries are separate from the daily warnings (configuration validation, errors and notifications), which are sent whenever they are due.
Summary frequency (Config B19)
In the General section of Config you can choose how often you want to receive the summaries through the "Email summary frequency" dropdown. This does NOT affect the daily warnings, which always arrive.
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| None | No weekly or monthly summary is sent. |
| Weekly only | Only the Monday summary. |
| Monthly only | Only the balance sent on the 1st of each month. |
| Weekly and monthly | Both (the default option, the historical behaviour). |
WEEKLY report
| Concept | Value |
|---|---|
| When is it sent? | Every Monday (unless it is the 1st, see below) |
| What does it include? | Headline of the week, 4 KPIs, performance vs the previous week, script activity, top campaigns and alerts |
| Header colour | Blue (#1976d2) |
| Reading time | Approx. 1-2 minutes |
MONTHLY report
| Concept | Value |
|---|---|
| When is it sent? | On the 1st of each month (it replaces the weekly one if that 1st falls on a Monday) |
| What does it include? | Everything in the weekly one + a YoY comparison if there is data + the script's effectiveness + the breakdown by scenario + the monthly budget + automatic observations |
| Header colour | Purple (#4a148c) |
| Reading time | Approx. 5 minutes |
Duplicate protection
In the auto-managed grey band of Config, the script records the date of the last email sent. If the script runs twice on the same day, the email is only sent the first time. It is safe to set a daily trigger — you will not get duplicates.
Not getting any emails?
- Check that the Email field in Config contains a valid address and is not empty.
- Check the "Email summary frequency" dropdown (Config B19): if it is on "None" you will get no summaries; if it is on "Monthly only" you will not get the weekly one, and vice versa.
- Check that the script ran on a Monday (for the weekly one) or on the 1st (for the monthly one).
- Look in your spam/promotions folder.
- Check the execution log in Google Ads Scripts — it should say "Email sent".
- If the "last email sent" marker holds today's date, the system thinks it has already sent the email. Clear that marker and run the script again.
