📗 This content is the AI Max Analyzer user manual, the same one the script writes in the «Manual» tab of its spreadsheet. Here you can search it, listen to it, highlight it and save it to favourites.
Each tab answers one specific question. Do NOT add up metrics across tabs — they use different Google Ads views with their own privacy thresholds, so the totals never match 100%. That is expected.
Dashboard: Executive summary with a global TRAFFIC LIGHT (green/yellow/red) so you know at once whether AI Max is doing well. v2.34: at the top it warns if AI Max has been TURNED OFF (campaigns that had AI Max traffic but now have the setting off) with an orange warning, or a green indicator if it is on. v2.27: right below, a big, prominent "CPA — YOUR BASELINE vs AI MAX" block with two cards (cost per conversion of your keywords vs AI Max) and a verdict sentence in traffic-light colour, to see it at a glance as soon as you walk in. It also includes account totals, the cost split by source and an AI Max vs Baseline comparison on CTR, CPC, CPA and ROAS — each metric with its own traffic light, and a mini summary of the Pre/Post analysis at the end.
Campaign Summary: Global per-campaign view with impr/clicks/cost/conv/CPA/ROAS. The "AI Max start" column shows the first date with detectable AI Max traffic, and "Analysis status" warns if the campaign has had AI Max on for fewer than MIN_DAYS_AI_MAX days (still learning, unreliable data).
Traffic Source: For each campaign, it compares the 3 sources (Your keywords / AI Max Broad / AI Max Keywordless) with their % of cost, CPA and ROAS. The tab you will use most to decide whether AI Max is worth it overall.
Top Search Terms: It lists the search terms (the real user searches) that AI Max triggered. For each query: how much impr/cost/conv it brought. This is where you decide which queries to add as negatives. The FIRST COLUMN is a "Campaign negative" checkbox — tick the queries you want to add as an exact negative at campaign level; on the next run of the script they are processed automatically and logged in the "Negatives Added" tab. IMPORTANT (v2.16): this tab ONLY shows search terms that are still active. The ones already excluded in their campaign (because they match an exact negative, or are blocked by a broad or phrase negative) are NOT shown, so you only see traffic that is genuinely still running. This tab uses ITS OWN analysis period, configurable LIVE from the tab itself: cell A1 (YELLOW) holds a DROPDOWN with the days (30/60/90/120/150/180); pick one and the change applies on the next run. It is independent from the global range (the SEARCH_TERMS_DAYS parameter in Config is only the default). From column O onwards (to the right of the main table) there is a REPEATED-WORDS ANALYSIS with two blocks: words appearing in terms that DO convert and words appearing in terms that do NOT convert. It is pure information so that you decide which broader negatives (broad/phrase) you might consider. v2.26: up to 10 EXCLUSION CANDIDATES show up with the ROW SHADED light red and the guilty metric in red — they are the terms most worth reviewing for negation (0 conversions with high cost, or CPA > 1.5× your baseline). Hover over the term to see the reason. The metric headers also carry explanatory notes (hover over them) and state what the green/red colour of CPA and ROAS means (heat map).
AI Max Combinations: The same traffic as Top Search Terms but broken down by ad group. If the same query entered 3 different ad groups, here you see it 3 times — useful to investigate where each search is landing. The FIRST COLUMN is an "Ad group negative" checkbox — tick the queries you want to add as an exact negative at ad group level; same mechanics as in Top Search Terms. Since v2.24 it has ITS OWN analysis period: a yellow DROPDOWN in cell A1 (30/60/90/120/150/180 days), independent from the rest; pick one and it applies on the next run.
Pre/Post Analysis: It holds TWO complementary analyses on "No breakdown" (the traffic hidden by privacy thresholds). (1) INITIAL IMPACT: it compares before vs after turning AI Max on — it answers "did AI Max work when it was turned on?". (2) RECENT TREND: it compares the last 30 days with the 30 before — it answers "is it getting worse lately?". This second part catches late degradation that the Initial Impact misses once the campaign matures. If you have Initial green + Recent red, AI Max worked at the start but is going off the rails now.
Negatives Added: A CUMULATIVE history (never cleared between runs) of every negative the script has added from ticked checkboxes. Each row includes: date and time, level (campaign/ad group), campaign name, ad group name (if it applies), search term or word, match type (Exact for the ones coming from Top Search Terms/Combinations; Broad for the ones added from the repeated-words analysis) and status (Added / Skipped as duplicate / Error / Skipped because the word is out of the current analysis / Converts in other terms). It is functionally equivalent to an "Added by Ai Max" label in Google Ads — the API does NOT allow applying labels directly to negative keywords, so this history is the documented way to have traceability of what the script added.
Logs: A dump of the messages the script produces during the run (the same lines you would see in the manager account console). Only the last run is kept — running the script again overwrites the contents. Useful to diagnose problems: campaigns not detected, query errors, email decisions, etc. Lines containing "ERROR" are highlighted in red and "AVISO" in yellow.
