📗 This is the user manual for the Suite for ChatGPT Ads, the tool in the Ninja Scripts panel. Here you can search it, listen to it, highlight it and save it to favourites. It is updated with every release of the tool.
Context hints are the only targeting ChatGPT Ads has: free-text phrases describing the conversation you want to appear in. They aren't keywords, they don't take match types and there are no negatives — so writing them well is the most profitable thing you can do with your account.
This is the screen that sets the tool apart, and it's worth understanding why.
Hints aren't guesswork: they come from what already converts
If you have the Suite for Google Ads, the proposal starts from the search terms that ALREADY convert in your Google Ads account over the last 90 days (filtered by your value conversions, if you've declared them in the project profile).
The idea, in one sentence: what people type into Google and that converts for you is the conversation you want in ChatGPT. No tool that only sees ChatGPT Ads can do this.
Besides the evidence, the AI receives the landing page of the group's ads, your business profile, the group's ads and the list of hints that group already has, read live.
And it returns up to 30 new hints in the style OpenAI asks for (use cases and needs, no third-party brands, no geography, 6 to 16 words, in your ads' language), each one with the real terms that justify it, plus a note on which current ones are weak.
Without the Suite for Google Ads the feature still works, with a lock explaining it: the proposal is made from the page, the current hints and your business, without the evidence. Worse, but not blocked.
Review before applying
On screen you pick which new hints go in and which current ones stay, with a live counter (a group takes up to 2,000). Each new hint carries the terms that support it, so you can judge it on data rather than intuition.
When you press Apply in ChatGPT Ads, with its confirmation:
- the list is re-read live right before writing; if it has changed since the proposal was made, nothing is touched and a new one is requested (this avoids overwriting a change you made in the Manager),
- the API replaces the whole list, so the previous one is saved and there's Undo for the last change,
- and it's re-read afterwards to confirm.
The effect of each change
The history doesn't stop at «changed on such a date»: it brings the effect on the group, comparing the 7 days before the change with the 7 after (excluding the day of the change and today): CTR, CPC, conversions per day, cost per conversion and impressions per day, with their variation.
Two honest caveats about that figure:
- It says «too soon» with fewer than 3 complete days after, and «low traffic» with fewer than 100 impressions in either window.
- It's indicative: across those 14 days your budget, your ads and the competition also changed. It's for spotting a trend, not for claiming credit.
If someone changes them elsewhere
Every read stores a fingerprint of each group's hint list. If it no longer matches the last change applied from the panel, the screen warns you that someone changed them in the Ads Manager (or from another proposal) and asks for a fresh proposal before writing anything.
The underlying rule
A hint is written thinking about the need the person has while they're conversing, not the word they would search for. «I want to study to become a flight attendant» is a hint; «cheap cabin crew course» is a keyword. The second one doesn't work here.
