ChatGPT Ads manual · Dashboard, Funnel, Countries and Devices

⏱️ 7 min read · 🤖 ChatGPT Ads · updated on 2026-09-26

📗 This is the user manual for the Suite for ChatGPT Ads, the tool in the Ninja Scripts panel. Here you can search it, listen to it, highlight it and save it to favourites. It is updated with every release of the tool.

Four screens for looking at the numbers from different angles. All with the date selector, its comparison against the previous period and the same chart.

📊 Dashboard

How the account evolves: the metrics you pick, grouped by day, week or month, with filters by campaign and by device. This is where you look for trends, not to reconcile a specific figure.

🔻 Funnel

From impression to result, per ad: grouped by the utm_content tag on its URL, so several ads sharing a page (the lab's variants) share a row if they share a tag. This is the screen that explains where your sign-ups or your leads come from.

That's why every ad this tool creates is born with its own utm_content tag: without it, an ad is invisible to your own measurement.

🌍 Countries · 📱 Devices

How your traffic splits by country, by platform (desktop_web, ios_app, android_app…) and by device.

⚠️ There are only impressions here, and it matters. When asked for segmented data, OpenAI's API returns impressions only: no clicks, no spend, no conversions by country or by device.

The tables say so with a «—», never with a 0. A zero would mean «this country brings no clicks», which is false and precisely the opposite of what's happening. For the same reason, the chart on these two screens only offers impressions: the other lines would have been flat at zero.

And the «Account total» row in 📱 Devices does not add up the segments: it brings the account's real total, with its true clicks and spend.

How periods are compared

Each period is measured against the previous one of the same length. With «last 7 days» you compare against the 7 before; with «September», against all of August. That's where the variations in the tables come from.

Plus the reminder that avoids 90 % of the surprises: the «last N days» end yesterday. Today is half done until the next read, and yesterday can still be revised because OpenAI attributes conversions late.

A ratio is not the mean of the ratios

A month's CTR is «clicks that month ÷ impressions that month». It is not the mean of the daily CTRs: with days that have no data, that mean gives a meaningless figure. Same with CPC and with cost per conversion. Every screen works it out on the totals, so the card, the chart and the table always say the same thing.
