📗 This content is the Search Query Optimizer (SQONS) user manual, the same one the script writes in the «Manual» tab of its spreadsheet. Here you can search it, listen to it, highlight it and save it to favourites.
SQONS is an automated Google Ads script that excludes the search terms that bring you nothing. It reads the historical performance of your searches and adds as negative keywords the ones that meet the criteria you set (high spend with no conversions, poor conversion rate, semantic irrelevance, and so on).
The point: to keep your Google Ads spend optimised continuously, without you combing through thousands of search terms every week.
Config sheet — global settings
This is the script's main sheet and the first one to set up.
📌 MAIN CELLS (column A):
• A2 — Run level: "MCC" (manager account) or "Account" (single account).
• A4 — Google Ads account ID (only if A2=MCC). Format: 540-227-6907.
• A6 — Email for notifications (optional). Left empty, no email is sent.
• A8 — Email frequency: "Do not send", "Weekly", "Monthly" or "Weekly and Monthly".
• A10 — Last weekly send (the script writes this).
• A12 — Last monthly send (the script writes this).
📌 CONFIGURATION TABLE (from row 3):
• Column E — ID of the campaign or ad group to process.
• Column F — Name of the scenarios sheet (the detailed setup).
• Column G — Name of the sheet where exclusions are logged.
• Column H — Status: "ON" or "OFF" (to switch each row on or off).
You can have as many rows as you like, each one handling a different campaign.
